I am Erik Brooks, and I am proud to be your alderman.

I humbly ask for your vote on April 2.

Welcome to my campaign website, where you can learn more about me, my record, my campaign and, most importantly, my thoughts on some of the key issues facing South Milwaukee and the Fourth District.

I feel I have delivered in my first two terms in office, and I am proud of a number of accomplishments.

From co-founding the South Milwaukee Downtown Market to launching the city’s top news and information website (SouthMilwaukeeBlog.com), I try every day to give back to the community … and do all I can to make South Milwaukee a better place to live, work and play. In that spirit, I was a proud recipient of the South Milwaukee Chamber of Commerce’s 2012 Ambassador of the Year award.

Of course, I continue to look to the future, and I want to do even more to help our city move forward. With that in mind, here is my continued promise to you, if I am re-elected:

• To work hard and smart on behalf of the residents of the Fourth District and South Milwaukee;
• To represent district residents with energy and passion, providing a strong viewpoint on the important issues facing our district and city; and
• To provide a fresh voice and new ideas to the City Council at a time when they are needed more than ever.

Let’s continue to work together to shape South Milwaukee’s – and the Fourth District’s – future. And that starts April 2.
